Dr Colin Ashurst
Having held various senior IT leadership roles with Microsoft and ASDA, Colin combines real world pragmatism with a passion for sharing and embedding best IT Transformation practices. As a teaching fellow at Durham Business School, Colin ensures that the latest thinking in the international IT arena is incorporated in all of Lead & Transform’s work.
Colin is one of the UK’s leading researchers into how adopting a benefits management approach to IT-enabled business transformation can yield maximum value for all key IT stakeholders.
Colin's specific interests include:
- Identifying opportunities and priorities for IS investments
- Realising benefits from IS investments
- Succeeding with projects and programmes to deliver real change and innovation from IT investment portfolios.
- Exploiting existing investments in IT andimproving knowledge worker productivity
- Establishing practical toolkits to develop competencies for IT-enabled transformation.
Alison Freer
Much of Alison’s coaching and development experience has been focused on developing leadership and people skills amongst IT professionals. Alison has worked with IT leaders and professionals in: Siemens; the NHS National Programme for IT and Connecting for Health; Nexus; Granada Learning; Bond Solutions; Newcastle University and NHS South of Tyne & Wear.
Alison's focus is on building the self-awareness and personal leadership skills needed to perform effectively in multi-disciplined technical and non-technical teams.
