Improving the productivity of knowledge work – 17 September 2010, Durham Business School
Peter Drucker said, “the unique contribution of management in the 20th century was the 50 fold improvement in the productivity of manual workers… …the most important contribution management needs to make in the 21st century is to similarly increase the productivity of knowledge work and knowledge workers“.
In our recent study, exploitation of existing systems and information was identified as a major priority for organisations.
We are planning a workshop on 17th September at Durham Business School to explore how organisations can respond to the challenge of improving knowledge worker productivity. The session is running in conjunction with the IT Directors Forum run by Nigel Wright and is open to ITDF members and others by invitation.
We’ll start with coffee at 0830 for a 9am start, with a 1230 finish and buffet lunch.
Please contact us if you are interested in attending the workshop.
